Product seems to be working fine. Very silent operation and materials used look good quality. Have been using since 2 months and so far no complaints. One needs to buy an additional air quality meter to check the performance and actual air quality parameters. The in built indicator of room air quality only shows a color which may not be very pleasing for the user experience and satisfaction.

I received this Sharp air purifier as a gift. The air feels light and crisp in the mornings and no more slight congestion in the nose. The best indicator of its performance is the pollution / black soot that used to accumulate on our ceiling fan. No more.

Works well in closed rooms with pollution or bad odour and still air. It is very much required for northern India towns and cities. I highly recommend Sharp company's cluster ion technology, which is tested and proven by 31 international labs, including IIT-Delhi.

ONE OF THE BEST AIR PURIFIERS IN THE WORLD!Sharp is one of the top 10 brands among air purifiers in the world that offers great value for money!This one really works as described, I purchased this OFFLINE after a long hectic research, and going through a lot of reviews on amazon.com as well as other websites and platforms such as quora.There was a lot of confusion whether we can buy this product online or not, as of October 2016 we cannot buy any sharp air purifiers online to get the brand warranty, the only exception being the seller breatheasy labs, I was fortunate to personally meet the regional head and Sharp India head to get things clarified on this regard.This purifier has lot of added features that other purifiers in INDIA do not offer, notably...1. Both active and passive modes of filtration2. Active mode kills or disintegrates mould's, bacteria & viruses including H1N1, MRSA, E-coli, TB etc by using patented plasmacluster ion technology that is invented by sharp which obviously no other air purifiers in the world can claim to offer as its patented by Sharp.3. Passive mode is usual filtration employing HEPA grade 14 filter (one of the best grades of HEPA) with very good surface area & also eliminates odors using activated carbon filter.4.Both dust and odor sensors are incorporated into this machine.5.Unique Haze mode- ie, fan runs between a loop of high and low speeds for different time intervals, suitable for city environments.6.Separate indicators for plasmacluster ions and dust ( for dust alone green, orange and red color that changes as per air quality level)7. Sleep mode that automatically shuts off all indicator lights and goes to very silent operation, that you can hardly notice the purifier working8. Skin beautifying effects due to moisture layer formation on skin13.Automatically resumes to previous state of operation in case of a power failure during operation, very useful in India owning to frequent power cuts!Mi has released its "air purifier 2" with great features but it lacks an active mode of filtration, also it needs a frequent filter replacement within 4 to 6 months but this one can go on for about 1 or 2 years, as the brand claims 2 years life, but I am not sure about this, only time will tell the truth therefore I will update on the same later.Tough a little expensive, It is a great value for money product, provided you compare other brands of air purifiers that are available in India.I don't think you have to think again !

I think this one is Sharp's best air purifier model since it doesn't have the limitations other Sharp models have. It has a pre-filter (absent in A80), dust and odour sensors (A80 only comes with a dust sensor) and filter life and replacement costs are reasonable. I've been using it for around 6 months now. We use a vacuum cleaner with blower to maintain our filters and the filters appear every effective. The best part is the Plasmacluster unit which makes the air inside the room feel light and crisp every morning. The look is a bit odd though and we get mixed reactions from our visitors on that.
