Best device as i already said. Gets heats up while charging up, but that is understood as it comes with quick charging. No match in terms of the camera quality. The best phone at this price, seems like my wait was worth it. Thanks microsoft and flipkart.

nice phone to have

Ordered the matte white version on Sunday and the phone was delivered the next day. Good flipkart service as always. (well at least in the cities anyway) The phone is solidly built and has an understated industrial design. The matte polycarbonate encasing is cool to touch but does get considerably warm while using quick charge. Before using the hardware, I highly recommend connecting the phone to a PC and updating both the firmware & OS (2.6 GB) using the windows device recovery tool. The QHD screen is impressive and the phone excels in low light photography. The phones performance is consistent without any throttling and the call quality is excellent with its 4 directional microphones. With Iris scanner, hardware encryption and continuum, this is a perfect office phone. EDIT: 2 weeks after purchase - Microsoft India just sent me a display dock kit along with an additional amkette hdmi 2.5m cable.

I was using lumia 720 from april 2013 and liked 720 very much, from last few months i have another office no so want to buy dual sim phone and very much confused as i dont want to use android phones. i was thinking to buy lumia 650 but i dont find major difference between 720 & 650 so want to buy 950 but intially its too costly around 43 K and flipkart offered it at 30 k which is reasonable for this device and i order it on last Monday and flipkart delivers it in two days, really fast delivery. after using 5 days of lumia 950 i can say that my decision to stick with windows phones is right and i totally love the phone in every aspect. its an recommendable product.

Microsoft Lumia 950 is perhaps the most underrated device of 2015. First tip to new buyers, update the firmware through Windows Device Recovery Tool (connect and update through a PC) as soon as you get the phone. The phone that was shipped to me was running 10586.11 build, which is known for notorious battery drain and heating issues. Thankfully all of these issues are fixed in latest update. You will again need to check for updates to get to 10586.318 build (super stable build with no battery or heating issues). Additionally, this has a turbo charging enabled battery and battery WILL heat up for first 3-4 power cycles. I would recommend doing power cycling (complete charge and discharge till 10%) for 3-4 times and then you should have a stable battery. Don't follow this practice after initial phase as this is Li-ion battery and doesn't suffer from battery memory loss effect (Google it to find out more). General thumb rule is to keep the battery over 35-40% at all times to maintain a healthy battery for the phone. After you are done with this, don't forget to avail two great offers with the device - 1 - Download and install Lumia Offers app and get 1 year Office 365 Personal 2 - Go to http://getdock.in and register your device to receive a free Continuum display dock (market price is 6000 rupees). This usually takes about two weeks to arrive but you will get a confirmation email instantly. Keep it safe for records. Now coming to the device itself, its an allrounder. I personally have purchased it for the joy of using a beautiful OS along with the best smartphone camera available today. Just to declare this in public interest, I have been using Windows Phones from past 3.5 years and this is my fifth Windows Phone. I was one of the early adopters of Android in Moto Droid and HTC dream days. I still have an Android tablet and I love Android when I want to tinker but I prefer the reliability and ease of use of Windows Phone (now Windows Mobile - I don't know why they keep changing the names). And of course, I would shoot myself in the head before buying an iOS device. Pros - Screen - The first time you switch on the screen, you WILL KNOW that you are looking at a QHD (2K) screen. It also has Nokia's clearblack display on an OLED panel. This makes is absolutely gorgeous. To compare, remember that Sony TV that you saw at the mall which was priced at 100000, this will match that screen in terms of vividness, clarity and colour reproduction. For Samsung lovers, go to Settings -> Extras -> Colour Profile and switch it to Vivid. Of course, I am a normal man to I keep it to Standard. In short, you can calibrate the colours as per your choice. Camera - The BEST smartphone camera that your money can buy today (I am considering Nokia 808, Lumia 1020, Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Galaxy S7 and the (in)famous Xperia Z5). I am a semi-pro photographer and own a beautiful Nikon D7200. can say that I don't mind leaving my DSLR at home for casual shots. Camera is absolutely amazing if you know how to use it. OS - This depends on personal preferences but of course I personally prefer the effortlessness of Windows OS. Battery - Good enough for one day. Forget about those days when our Windows Phones used to last two days with 3G, WiFi and WhatsApp on all time (quoting my old Lumia 640XL). Snapdragon 808 is a powerful chipset and does consumer more battery. Although this is still better optimized than Marshmallow (comparing Nexus 5X and Moto Style for reference). Continuum - This is fun to play around and possibilities are limitless. New developers are migrating their apps to UWP framework everyday but as of today, I don't see much practical use of this otherwise amazing feature for a normal consumer. Business users will find it amazing though. Cons - Build - Although I like the feel of the phone in my hand but I am little let down by overall polycarbonate build of the phone. I would have preferred a metal body of a unibody design (quoting my old Lumia 720 here). But this also gives us advantage of removable battery. A personal choice and the trade have different effects on different people. Some might like one or the other. Although even if it would have had a metal unibody, we would have still used a back cover. Its funny. By the way, one recommendation - go for Nillkin grip cover. Its feels amazing and brings out the premium look of the phone. App gap - I admit this is still a problem for few. We don't have Snapchat on Windows platform. None of the developers target Windows users as their primary consumers because of sheer market share of Android, followed by iOS. I hope this will be fixed soon with Microsoft's new strategy of UWP. It would be your personal choice to either embrace it or switch boats to Android. That's all folks. I will keep you posted if anything changes in a couple of weeks or maybe months. This phone is really value for money. Got it for 30K with a free dock offer running. If you miss google maps, I'd recommend gmaps pro for < Rs 200, which shows traffic condition also. Have used free version in my earlier lumia 730. I use offline maps while travelling abroad and gmaps in India. Note: Avoid Lumia 950XL which has heating issue. Lumia 950 does not have heating problem once firmware is updated. You have to update 2 to 3 times. First do it using the phone itself. Then use the "Windows device recovery tool" to update, and then the phone can update itself going forward. For docking, I think waiting for a snapdragon 820 chipset phone might be worthwhile.

Got the phone on the very next day of ordering. I advise you to please upgrade the firmware via Windows Device Recovery Tool immediately after u get the phone. And then use the phone's settings to get the latest windows 10 mobile build. 1) The phone is great in overall performance. Look is okayish but not bad at all. It is slim and feels like light weight though its not light in weight. 2) Camera is perfect. It takes photos instantly, plus we can edit the lightning later on (rich capture ON), 4k videos supported, slow motion, Forced HDR. This phone has best camera till date. 3) The display is excellent, QHD display with AMOLED screen, the phone has sunlight readability setting, it is very bright even under sunlight. Use autobrightness to save battery. 4) Continuum is a good feature, but still it needs to support many more apps. 5) Iris scanner: It is Windows Hello beta. It takes 2 to 3 seconds to unlock the phone. However it is still fast as compared to unlocking the phone via PIN. We just need to look on the top of the screen to unlock the phone, so simple. 6) Battery life: I get 24 hours on normal usage while on 2G network (mobile data disabled and using wifi all day). Charging is very fast. However phone gets heated while charging. If u r a lumia fan, this is perfect phone for u till date. Go for it!! If u r coming from android, I m sure u'll love this phone as it has now basically all apps that we need for day to day use. Plus its more secure than android phones.

I own Lumia 950 (White), Purchase date 14th May but using WP10 on my Lumia 730 from long time. - I found few features are already available like Double Tap to wake up, etc after the firmware upgrade via WDT on Lumia 950 - My Mobile Firmware: .16236.35007 && OS Build: .10586.494. - Friends please do not blame about the heating issues unless ur mobile is upgraded with latest firmware & OS Build - Both Sims works perfectly with 4G Connectivity (Sim1 Airtel & Sim2 Vodafone) - Iris scanner works perfect, detects in less than a sec, even in the dark (9/10 attempts success) ! Agree, Apps are not as stable like other OS ! Battery lasts for about 14hrs on heavy usage like Videos, Browsing, Camera but QUICK Charging which takes less than an hour. * Waiting for Anniversary updates. * Once OS gets stable then we can hope App developers get a chance to work more accurately. Apps: 1. Youtube: Tubecast is the best and works like YouTube and also with offline videos. Only problem, it syncs only desktop history. Alternatively, "Explorer for YouTube" is also very good. 2. Media Player: Moli Player Pro is the best for Videos & audio files. It reads any format and also adds to it's history from ur storage. Alternativey, CCPlayer is also very good and we get VLC for free but still under improvements. 3. Browser: Edge works great but mobile heats while using it and alternatively u can go with UC Browser HD which works perfect and loads almost all the websites with flash 4. Maps: Default Maps works perfectly and better to download offline maps for better navigation. 5. File sharing: ShareIt works good but user who do not have in their Library, it is very difficult to install and same with the case with Amazon. Alternatively u can use Xender which works great on cross-platform but transfer rate is a bit slow compared to ShareIt 6. WhatsApp: Eats huge memory so better to re-install once in a month and do not forget to take back-up before uninstalling. No data loss will occur but clear all the temp. 7. Video calling: I can find only "LINE" till now apart from SKYPE. 8. Torrent Agent: wpTorrent to download torrent files but suggest not to download via Mobile Note: Most of the apps can me moved to storage but it is suggested to keep the apps on Internal storage if space available. ## IMO most of the users 98/100 already used Android/IOS and started using Windows so they know how Windows works better than other stuff. Every OS got their own bugs/limitations though they got handful of users.

Its a great phone. Very lightweight, smooth touch responses, very fast, and great UI clarity. Windows-10 has improved the OS a lot ! Its remarkably user-friendly now... As soon as you get it, just update it with whichever update available. Because mine contained some old Windows-10 build which was a lot buggy and bit slow too.. As usual, Flipkart's delivery was great - this time it delivered it on next day itself !

Software & Features:: Windows 10 - Yes, the builds are not that stable and restarts once in a while. Office Mobile - Best productive apps I use everyday. Camera - This is the ultimate camera for every event in your day to day life. Living Images - Makes your photos move. (available in previous versions through Lumia Cinemagraph app). Yes this is the one that apple copied saying Live photos blah.. Windows Hello - Secures some of your private apps with secondary authentication. (OneDrive, EnPass, In app purchases). Continuum - I use this feature every day to edit my office docs, pdf files in edge, watch movies (from my pendrive) and browse internet, view my photos etc. (I got my free Display Dock). Hey Cortana - She responds immediately (US & UK, India is still a bit slow). Offers local movies, show times, theatres, automatic replies to messages, my favourite news (from news app), my reminders, special days, weather and more Quiet Hours - Keeps you free from your device with some pre configured rules like auto replies, call break throughs etc. Battery Saver - I use every now and then. You can allow what apps that you want to run in background and save some battery in tough times. One handed Mode - I use this feature once for every 5 -10 taps on the screen, while navigating through the OS and in some apps to reach the Hamburger menu with one hand. One handed keyboard is another thing that should be noted. Glance Screen - One super feature I keep using from my old Lumia 1020 to 950, which shows me time with out using any battery (0.5% per day), reminds me of my friends birthdays from Facebook via calendar app, shows unread notifications numbers from favourite apps. Offline Maps - I use for navigation once every while with out internet. I am restricting this review with only the features that I use every day and I feel new to my experience at this cost

Awesome experience I am having great experience with Lumia 950. I does all that i need is day to day job. Cool features with optimum hardware. Major selling point for this phone:- Stunning Display:- This is one of the best spec for Lumia 950, very bright, clear daylight readability. Watching high definition movies on this screen is beautiful experience. Windows Hello:- It may not work at time (as expected in Beta version) but it is really cool feature different than the other bio-metric security feature and at time a decent show off. Camera:- No doubt Microsoft have carried Nokia legacy of beautiful and powerful camera. 20 MP is powerful whether its day or night images are sharp, colours are well picked. RGB flash does its trick very well.Video recording is also on par with any flagship in market, best in market OIS makes it more better and no to forget dedicated camera button . Only issue with it is slow focus at time and post image processing, hopefully it would be resolved in upcoming Redstone update. OS:- Windows 10 may not be perfect but with continuous updates from Microsoft it is definitely getting better at a descent pace. With this new OS Microsoft has put Windows mobile on pas with Android in features. And their UWP platform is also getting picked up with many big name finally updating or placing their apps in Windows Store. Design:- With many complaining about lack of metal, there are few pros with poly carbonate body, it has decreased the weight of the phone, also the phone good grip. Continuum:- That's no there OS has, very exciting to use and very useful feature. It really shows full power of windows 10, and gives hint of where Microsoft is heading. Over all a worthy buy at current price, Microsoft should have launched this phone at this price earlier 44K was too much. All of us already know what's present and possible with Windows 10 and Lumia and what's not. So if you buy it don't complain later!!

Love the intuitive Windows phone UI. Performs basic tasks easily. UI is smooth and fluid. Camera is excellent and takes very good picture. Recommend it highly for people who are Windows Phone users. Only downside is the lack of apps. But, out of the box the phone is fast and the experience is seamless.

Dear readers, first of all, I would like to say that if you are not a Lumia fan, this phone is NOT for you. After some extensive testing and use, I believe the following will bring some points to light. Pros: 1. Its super fast, the hexacore and ram make this device a lean mean graphics processor, from streaming videos to playing games, there is NO lag at all. 2. The imaging is mazing. Beats Apple any day. The clarity & ability to adjust the amount of flash after the picture is shot is simply superb. 3. Display is amazing, leaving all that advanced specs aside, its very vibrant, and even with the lowest of brightness, you will hardly feel the difference. 4. Iris scanner: Windows Hello makes logging in a charm, although its in bets, I have yet to face any difficulty with myself logging in with just my eyes. 5. Cortana: Yep, she is on, all the time, and you can train her to just recognize your voice. whether you phone is locked or not, all u need to do is ask her to do something, and she does it. Imagine being away from your phone, and you feel like listening to some music, all you need to say is," Hey Cortana! Play some songs" and she will play them. That's a clean win in my books. I'd like to see siri do that. 6. Sound: For a mobile speaker, its quite impressive. The bass and treble and really good. 7. Phone calls: Amazing, simply amazing. there are four microphones to hear you and almost all noise gets cancelled out. Trust me I have never had a better phone conversation in my life. Cons: Phone heats up real bad, but as I notice that it only happens until you update it. Now its just fine, heating issue is a thing of a past now. Finally, I notice some guys got their hands on the display dock. I didn't. So don't get your hopes up for that. WS Retail is knows to be choosy. I've had personal experience with that.

This phone is a steal at this price. Updated with the latest firmware and the phone is rocking now. Pureview camera @ 8 mp has no traces of noise even indoors. The 2K amoled screen will effortlessly rival those of latest Samsung phones. Standby battery life is excellent. Very lightweight. All in all I have been using it for a day, and so far I am very happy with it.

The best ever camera available on any phone is present in Lumia 950. Performance is good but, not the best. Worth the price tag. Camera is better than, iPhone's and Galaxies..
