Great Device. VFM. Your true companion for fun and learning

Sleek and Powerful. Two Words to describe the Nexus 7 FHD 2013. Google made all of the right improvements to the product, and the result is a significantly improved product for a marginally higher cost. The new screen is absolutely stunning. It is not that the resolution of 323 ppi is necessary, but you can really see the difference when you use it in person. Text is significantly sharper and a little easier on the eye to read. Using the tablet to watch videos and see pictures produces a stunning result. The processor runs fast and there is no lag in using and switching apps. The tab can be used to run atleast 4-5 applications simultaneously smoothly and the apps rarely crash. Enough Memory to run as smoothly as a netbook. The rear Camera is great for stills and the Lens Blur feature is great for close-ups. The camera is not as great as a DigiCam but works perfectly both indoors and outdoors. The Secondary Camera is average but works fine for Skype and other Face- to - Face chatting. Also is good enough for selfies!. The true Android experience is truly thrilling and Google has a preloaded app for every necessary utility that a tab is expected to perform. Android 4.3 feels ultra-smooth so far, and I am hoping that Google and Asus learned from their original mistakes.
Pros:
1. Amazing screen. The nexus 7 has a 323 ppi (pixels per inch), which means the Nexus has a sharp screen and you could tell once you play HD videos.
2. Great build quality. I think Asus is truly a good brand and they made some really great tablets and what they have done with the Nexus 7 is rather impressive. It is light and easy to hold, and I don?t see any place flimsy or bendable. The overall build quality is just top notch.
3. Running Android 4.4 KitKat. This is a nice addition if you purchase a google device, I know that the mainstream Android devices would get the 4.4 eventually but google device is no doubt where you get it first and fast.
Cons:
1. Battery life is unimpressive. To be fair, the battery life on Nexus 7 is good enough but not excellent. I understand that due to the size factor it can only pack a small size battery than an iPad does. Average 7-8 hours is still something that bothers me because after I play some none hi-spec demand games for a straight hour the battery would significant drops 18-22 percent (ex. Happy Store). However, if you only use it for reading news or jumping around some lifestyle apps (ex. Facebook) it would last longer than 8 hrs. And the good thing is if you put it in sleep mode it won?t make you lose too many drains (5% battery drops after a night without plug in outlet).
2. No SD card expansion. This is a huge disappoint since I have several SD card which hold my files that I need to access. And the 32 GB internal story is not that big you will soon find you are in a shortage after you download several high quality films and some big title games
Summary: A great tab for gaming and movies and a true friend of yours. Loving it!!

The most value for money tablet.

I have used Samsung Galaxy Tablet and BSNL Penta Tablet as they are with my cousins. Performance wise this tablet is much superior to those tablets. It also gives you a feel of full Retina HD display that you get in the likes of iPad Air. Given any day this tablet will perform similar to iPad Air and it costs like half of iPad. Pros: 1. 2 GB ram allows you to play any game you want. 2. In case you close and have habit of closing background applications this tablet will squeeze an easy 1 day which is very uncommon for tablets (normal tablets give only 6-9 hours backup). 3. Heavy games can be played like butter (some say tablet gets heated. Play in Playstation or XBOX or every your laptop, they also get heated it is common for devices to get heated). 4. Front camera is crystal clear, and does the job of a webcam. 5. One can buy OTG adapter and connect external hard drive, pendrive easily. 6. As for calling one can buy easy huawei router (small ones) which converts 3g sim to WIFI or best is use your smartphone (latest ones) on WI FI Tethering and use this tablet anytime on the go. 7. Now we all know Android is LAGDROID. But hey if you close background apps and do not multi task too much this tablet gives ZERO Lags. 8. Only Tablet with surround sound system (even Apple lacks this), so connect it to any home theatre and get awesome sound experience. 9. Latest Android 4.4.2 when other devices are yet to get it. Cons: 1. Primary camera is bad quality. Seems like a VGA. But okay one doesn?t shoot much from tablet. Use your mobile for shooting pictures. So not much of a complain. 2. It is a stock android so it comes with nothing. Just plain and blank. Only google stock apps are loaded like google chrome, gmail etc. 3. Yes volume is not that loud but i think this con can be easily removed it you apply an external portable speaker worth 500-900 from iBall, Intex etc. 4. No headphone in this box. I own a web design company and hence own iPhone, Android Tablet, Mac PC and iPad 2nd gen. So you can trust on my review.

It feels really great in hands though not rich like those ipads. Display is stunning & color output is wonderful. It has plenty of horsepower; throw any task at it, it?ll perform just like that with no lag whatsoever. It is perfect for watching videos & photos, listening to music, and gaming as well but not those with those speakers on (works best with headphones). Reading anything on this is pleasure, the text is so crisp & clear. Wi-Fi response is really good. Google Chrome is smooth & fast, & so is browsing. And best of all is it is Nexus, which means pure android & latest android, always. Camera is a lackluster, it is worse than those front cameras on mobile phones (but who needs a camera here when you have a phone?). Battery will easily last for a full day above average usage. I?m very happy and highly recommend this.
